Meet the Artist

A longstanding and respected artist here at Jarvis Radio, who has contributed a fair share of content and support for the station.

Troy Tipton, AKA Bad Boy Troy, was inspired to make music by seeing the Beatles take the stage on the Ed Sullivan Show, beginning a lifelong career at the age of 6 years old.

Musical influences include father Sonny Tipton, followed by Jimmie Page, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Farner, Paul Rogers, and Jeff Beck.

Troy’s career has seen him brush with a number of high profile artists and renowned bands such as Black Sabbath, Cheap Trick, Whitesnake, Loverboy, A Flock Of Seagulls, Air Supply, Sammy Hagar, Nitty Gritty Dirt band, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Deep Purple, Savoy Brown, Pablo Cruise, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Kool and the Gang, Ready For The World, Lisa Lisa, The Jets, Roger & Zapp, Starpointe, Steppenwolf, Black Oak Arkansas, David Chastain, and Toronto.

One of these collaborations can be heard on Jarvis Radio with a track entitled “Bad Ass Boy” where our Bad Boy Troy features on guitar with original AC/DC singer Dave Evans.
